Married to my soulmate Jeff for 24 years, I embrace a balanced lifestyle with yoga, workouts, biking, hiking, pickle- ball and I love to cook and bake. Blessed with an amazing family I have 2 sisters - Susan and Tracey and my brother Ian. We are a close family that is in contact with a ‘Good Morning’ and a ‘Good Night’ daily.
I learned about commitment from my Mother Evelyn. Mum became a single parent when my siblings and I were quite young, and her lot in life was to care for us, while working and overseeing that we had her moral sense instilled in us. Me, my brother Ian, and my 2 sisters Susan and Tracey are what she made us. Mum passed away on February 26, 2024. Ian and his wife Deena were there holding her hand that was wrapped in her Rosary. Mum was 90. During the last 20 years, mum lived with Dementia that really robbed her of her golden years. Besides family, myself and my husband Jeff (my rock) are blessed with a multitude of wonderful friends, and enjoy spending quality time with them when time allows. And, although we have no children, we have had had 7 dogs. In November 2023 we lost our dear little Stella and are now learning to live in a quiet home. We will likely get more pets but have decided that the next couple of years will be a time to reflect and honour the ones we were so blessed to have.
I am as committed to friendships as I am to my clients. They are one in the same. To become a client, you often become a friend as well. Buying a home is a very personal event. This well explains my high return clientele number. Along with friends and family, comes a strong sense of community, and that involves giving back to the City that I am more than proud to call home, Winnipeg. In the past number of years I have been one of the highest ranked individual Realtors in Remax Western Canada when it comes to making contribu- tions to The Children's Miracle Network. I was invited to the International Children's Hospital Conference in Florida 2 years in a row and was honoured to be a guest speaker at the event in 2014, sharing the stage with singer Marie Osmond and actor John Schneider. Such fun, and an honour to be asked.
I am a huge advocate for the Alzheimer’s Society because of my Mum Evelyn and Mother-in law Doreen (who passed away on March 7, 2023), and to that end, I proudly donate gener- ously to the challenge of curing dementia. I volunteer when I can with the Alzheimer’s Society of MB and was honoured to be their spokesperson for their largest fundraising Gala in 2020, helping them raise $118,000 from the video about my mum and mother-in law. In the past few years I was active on the MB Realtors Shelter Foundation sitting in as one of the Board of Governors. While my mum’s were still with us, I sat on the Board of Governors for Luther Home, where both my mother and mother-in law resided for many years. I donate back to the Community from each sale I finalize. Other chari- ties I contribute to include the Humane Society, Manitoba Harvest, The Christmas Cheer Board and The Winnipeg Foundation, Manitoba Animal Alliance, Agape Table and Habitat for Humanity.
It is my caring for people that helps me to shine through in my work as a top Realtor for RE/MAX Executives Realty. Courtesy and respect are front of mind in my everyday dealings. My dedication to my career has certainly paid off. Again, it comes down to how I was raised. I always treat my clients the same way I would like to be treated. I would never push anyone into buying a home. What would that possibly gain? My clients know that, and respect me because they know I'll always be honest and up front with them, no matter what. My goal is to provide the same high level of service to them as I would to my own family. People appreciate that level of honesty.
